Kanban Misconception: Kanban is Too Complex
Jenny Stuart
Construx VP of Consulting
Unlike Scrum, which provides a basic framework to start, teams adopting Kanban need to make some decisions. These include:
- What work do we deliver and to whom?
- What steps and stages occur to the work as produce our deliverables?
- What does it mean to be done with the work at each stage?
- How much work should be in the Kanban system to optimize value delivery?
- Is all work treated the same or is some work more important than other work?
While there are a lot of decisions to make, it’s not rocket science to set up a Kanban system. For more information, please contact us for our Kanban practice paper or access to our Kanban Overview online course.
