Service Design Patterns
Web services have been put into practical use for many years. Developers and architects have encountered a number of recurring design challenges related to their usage and it has become clear that certain design approaches work better than others to solve certain problems. Service Design Patterns codifies proven design solutions for web services that follow the REST architectural style or leverage SOAP/WSDL specifications. This catalogue identifies the fundamental topics in web service design and lists common design patterns for each topic. Martin Fowler, one of the most respected software thought-leaders of our time, said, “This is the book that should be considered the standard on the topic of Web Service Design.”
